Kathmandu, Nepal. The monkeys here
are aggressive. This one had just hijacked a bag of snacks from a tourist.
Kathmandu is a
wild place and always an adventure. It is no longer a medieval city full
of ancient markets. It is a modern tourist Mecca. Still a great experience
as long as you can enjoy it for what it is. |

Over 21 million people live in Nepal and at
141,000 sq km (54,000 sq mi) it is about one half the size of Colorado. It
is commonly divided into three areas, the Terai, the Middle Hills and the Himalayas. Most of the hill country is covered by terraces
and small villages.
