Serac Adventure Films is teaming up with Teva and Untraditional Marketing to create an exciting addition to this year's Teva Mountain Games. Along with the competition, there will be an Adventure Film School where students will learn all the ins and outs of adventure filmmaking during the country’s largest celebration of mountain sports.

What will you film? Everything from in-depth athlete stories to competitive action sequences to behind-the-scenes spoofs, you decide! Past student films from the Serac Adventure Film School have been selected for film festivals, won awards, and aired on national television.

The six-day school will start on the first day of the games and end two days after. There will be four days of shooting and concurrent editing (June 5th-8th) with two days of editing to finish the films (June 9th & 10th).

Students will have exclusive all-access press passes to all events and competitions at the games, including unrestricted VIP entry to all competitions and behind the scenes areas.

Award-winning director Michael Brown will be on hand to help students create their own films from initial concept to finished DVD/webclip. The student films will be finalists for the Filmmakers’ Shootout competition and will be posted on the Teva Mountain Games website where viewers can vote on their favorite to win the DeLavergne High Side of Good Award.

The film school cost is $1,900 for single student tuition and $3,500 for team-of-two tuition. This includes all course materials, outdoor instruction, editing workshops, and VIP passes.

*Students will need to bring their own video camera & hard drive.*

Great Room Deal! Antlers at Vail is offering film school students special rates during the Teva Mountain Games. One bedroom condos normally $225/night are available for $99/night and can sleep up to 4 people ($15 extra per 3rd and 4th person).

Serac Adventure Films will provide one conference room stocked with Apple computers as editing headquarters, battery charging, screening, logging, and more. Students will also receive a Teva swag-bag of free gear including a new pair of shoes.
