Global Extremes: Costa Rica Moab and Aspen followed by Mount Everest for OLN and ABC. Produced by American Adventure Productions, John Wilcox Executive Producer. |
![]() The Costa Rica cameramen: Wade Fairley, Michael Brown, Bob Poole and Kent Harvey. The start of the event was orienteering in the jungles followed by fun canopy adventures. ![]() After a few days of trekking around in the rain soaked jungle dodging deadly snakes and playing Tarzan we traveled to the sunny southwest coast to sea kayak and swim. ![]() Three days on this magical beach made the Costa Rica part of Global Extremes the most fun by far. The water was full of phosphorescent planktons, a great excuse to go skinny dipping. ![]() Some of the participants partying on the beach: Ted Mahon, Eric Capatulik, May Enyon (production assistant), Troy Henkles, Jessy Rickert, Sam Gering and 'Expert' Hans "No Way" Rey. Hans makes a wicked good rum drink in coconuts and it includes hot sauce. ![]() The best smiles in the group: Petit Pinson, Rick Ridgeway (Director), Tryntje Young and Juan Carlos (our host). ![]() The reason I got up early from the leaky tent during the jungle trek part of La Ruta De Los Conquistodores. Stuck in the middel between super Sound Guy; Eddie O'Connor on one side and Hans Rey on the other. Morning couldn't come early enough. ![]() Tryntje Young rappelling down a waterfall at the end of the jungle trek. We continued on to kayak, mountain bike, sea kayak and run to the finish line at the Caribbean Sea thus crossing the entire country from Pacific to Atlantic. |
